8 Times Hollywood Rocked To Bollywood Beats

Anokhi Buzz Anokhi DIY Entertainment & Gossip Dec 20, 2015

New Girl's Season 5 Premiere is coming, and we're all smiles to see a Bollywood dance number in the show.

This isn't the first time though that an American production has featured a Bollywood tune. Several Hollywood films have used some amazing Bollywood tracks before. Check them out!

1. Schmidt (Max Greenfield) woos Cece (Hannah Simone) with an "Ooh La La" dance number in the teaser below. New Girl's Season 5 premier comes out on January 5, 2016, and the Bollywood mix just doubled our enthusiasm.

2. Punjabi MC's dance number "Mundiya To Bachke" was featured in the 2012 film The Dictator.

3.  The old song "Mera Man Tera Pyasa" by Rafi runs as a background track in this scene from the Kate Winslet picture Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

4. Late legend Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's famous song "Tere Bin Nahi Lagda" was featured in Gurinder Chadda's Bend It Like Beckham.

5. Remember Rani Mukerji dancing to the song "Chalka Chalka" in SaathiyaThe Accidental Husband is another place where you can find the hit.

6. Listen to another old Bollywood tune, "Jaan Pehchaan Ho," in the film Ghost World.

7. We can never get enough of "Chamma Chamma" — whether it's Urmila or dancers from Moulin Rouge performing the number.

8. Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora stole our hearts in the "Chaiya Chaiya" track shot on top of a train. Our favourite number makes for an excellent background track in Inside Man.
