ATN Celebrates 100 Years Of Indian Cinema

New TV Series From ATN Celebrates 100 Years Of Indian Film.

Canada’s largest South Asian broadcaster, Asian Television Network International Limited (ATN), has produced a Canadian television series of 100 episodes to commemorate the '100 Years of Indian Cinema.' ATN shows more than 800 Indian movies a month through its 51 specialty channels, catering to wide cultural communities across the country The series will feature 100 celebrities from the world's largest, including interviews with the top movie stars, producers, directors and musicians from the Indian film industry.

The series started in September 2013, and runs for 52 weeks at prime time on ATN HD and other select ATN affiliate channels. Watch for exclusive interviews with big names like Raj Kapoor, Dev AnandDilip KumarSunil DuttYash Chopra, V. Shantaram, Mira Nair, Sivaji Ganesan, Gurdas Mann, Om Puri and Rupinder Handa, to name just a few.

Shan Chandrasekar, President and CEO of ATN, is especially proud of this milestone in television history. “It has been a privilege to have been involved with the Canadian broadcast industry and the Indian film industry,” he says. “My father, a lawyer turned film producer was a pioneer in Indian cinema. He was one among the first in Southern India to produce a feature film with sound.
