Despite racial stereotypes, South Asian rappers continue to carve out a place for themselves in the international market.

Check out these 10 South Asian rappers who are gaining more popularity every day.
 

1. Jazzy B

 
Jazzy B is an Indian-Canadian rapper whose hit albums have earned him the "Crown Prince of Bhangra" title.
 

2. Honey Singh

Honey Singh is a British rapper of Indian origin. His music has blown us away, and his latest hit "Dheere Dheere" is no exception.

3. Imran Khan

Imran Khan is a Dutch-Pakistani rapper. His songs "Ni Nachleh" and "Amplifier" were phenomenal successes.

4. Hard Kaur

Hard Kaur (Tarun Kaur Dhillon) is a British-Indian rapper with hit numbers like "Ek Glassy" and "Singh Is King."
 

5. Bohemia

Bohemia (Raja) is a Pakistani-American rapper with chart-topping numbers and awards to his credit.

 

6. M.I.A.

M.I.A. (Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam) has made us proud with her worldwide achievements.

7. Anik Khan
Bengali-American rapper Anik Khan is the face of the successful immigrant story despite the obstacles. He's trying to bridge the gap between two music cultures (hip hop and Bengali) through his work.

8. Kaly

Kaly faced the immigrant struggle in the United States but made his place in the music industry. He has also been vocal about the lack of diversity in the South Asian community.

Heems (Himanshu Kumar Suri) is an American rapper of Punjabi-Indian descent. He founded the hip hop group Das Racist, the title indicative of racial barriers in North America. He's an advocate for the South Asian community, and we're glad his talent has been recognized!

 

10. Shah

 

Shah is a Toronto-based rapper whose music is influenced by his Indian heritage as well as Canadian multiculturalism.
