Did You Recognize These Bollywood Voices In Hollywood Films?

B-town celebs appear in Hollywood movies, but we also hear them lend their voices to Hindi versions of Hollywood movies or animated Bollywood films as well.

While these dubbed versions don't fare as well in some cases, this hasn't stopped Bollywood celebs from stepping outside their comfort zones. 

The latest celeb to give it a shot is Varun Dhawan. 

Dhawan will be the voice behind the Hindi version of Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, which comes out on May 6th.

We came up with 10 other Bollywood celebs who have dubbed films for the sake of entertainment. Check out their skills in the clips below.

 

1. Priyanka Chopra — The Jungle Book (2016)

 
Priyanka Chopra lent her voice to the role of Ka in the Hindi version of The Jungle Book.

2. Nana Patekar — The Jungle Book (2016)


 
Nana Patekar voiced Shere Khan in the Hindi version of The Jungle Book.

3. Irrfan Khan — The Jungle Book (2016)

 

Along with Chopra and Patekar, Irrfan Khan also lent his voice to The Jungle Book — for the role of Baloo. 

4. Sonakshi Sinha — Rio 2 (2014)

 

For the Hindi version of Rio 2, Sonakshi Sinha voiced the beautiful blue macaw Jewel.

 

5. Imran Khan — Rio 2 (2014)

 

Imran Khan voiced Blu, Sinha's blue macaw husband, in the Hindi version of Rio 2.

 

6. Akshay Kumar — Jumbo (2008)

 

Jumbo was Bollywood’s very own animated movie, and Akshay Kumar voiced the elephant Jumbo. 

7. Lara Dutta — Jumbo (2008)

 

Lara Dutta voiced Jumbo's elephant love interest, Sonia.

8. Shah Rukh Khan — Hum Hain Lajawaab (2004)


 
Hum Hain Lajawaab was the Hindi version of Pixar and Disney's The Incredibles. King Khan voiced Mr. Incredible, and Aryan Khan (Shahrukh's son) voiced Dash.

9. Kareena Kapoor — Roadside Romeo (2008)


Kareena Kapoor voiced Laila in Roadside Romeo by Yash Raj Films and Disney.

While there's no Hollywood version, Roadside Romeo was Disney's first animated movie in Hindi.  

10. Saif Ali Khan — Roadside Romeo (2008)

 

Alongside now-wifey Kareena, Saif Ali Khan was the voice actor for Romeo in Roadside Romeo.
