Actor-director Zaib Shaikh is at the top of the totem pole when it comes to having curated an illustrious career in television, film and theatre. He is best known for his starring role as Imam Amaar Rashid on CBC’s international hit comedy show ‘Little Mosque on the Prairie’ which had a successful five-year run. He has worked as an actor, writer, director and producer for over 20 years, establishing himself as one of the most credible, well-known and successful multidisciplinary arts professionals in Canada.

His extensive television portfolio includes: the co-production of ‘Long Story Short: CBC Turns 75’, co-writing, directing and co-produced the Gemini Award winning TV film, ‘Othello, the Tragedy of the Moor’. Zaib’s other TV work includes: lead or guest starring roles in ‘Metropia’, ‘Murdoch Mysteries’, ‘Da Vinci’s City Hall’ and ‘The Dead Zone’.
