H&M Stands Up For Diversity & Inclusion

Anokhi Buzz Anokhi DIY Entertainment & Gossip Sep 14, 2015

Fast fashion giant H&M is going all out to incorporate diversity in all its avatars in its new fashion campaign.

Along with the turbaned Sikh models on billboards in Times Square, their latest video "Close The Loop" features 69 different models covering the gamut of sizes, ages, gender identities and more.

Muslim model Maria Hidrissi represents in a hijab.

And the trans community is front and centre as well.

Amputees and differently abled people get a shout out too.

And fashion is certainly not just for the young — older models including the iconic Iggy Pop are also included in the campaign that stresses “there are no rules in fashion.”

The only caveat to that statement of course is H&M’s ethical fashion motto. Along with a spirit of inclusion, the campaign is aimed at promoting the recycling of clothes to make fashion more sustainable.

So, is this the most inclusive mainstream fashion campaign you’ve ever seen? Check out the campaign video below and let us know your thoughts.
